Editorial Evaluation

Editorial Evaluations

The purpose of an editorial evaluation, is to provide the author with a report of their work, which is invaluable in terms of moving forward toward publication. By reading the author’s work, I am then able to offer a three- to four-page report on the text, offering a constructive analysis on the strengths and weaknesses of your manuscript.

An editorial evaluation provides the following:

• Reading the manuscript in full.
• Offer feedback on the story (if requested).
• Provide examples of the text and offer suggestions for change.
• Cover correct approach to sentence structure and use of narrative.
• Cover correct use of dialogue, use of punctuation and application of quotation marks.
• Summarise on the above and offer advice on which service would best suit you moving forward.
